Punjab E Bike Scheme 2025 – Apply Online & Check Quota
The Punjab government has launched the special program called the Punjab E Bike Scheme 2025 that would assist the students. The application is not open to any student. This is because there are certain evident eligibility criteria to the Punjab E Bike Scheme 2025 to ensure the deserving and serious students only take it. These regulations assist in ensuring that the bikes fall into the right hands and that they are put to the right uses namely education.

In the Punjab E Bike Scheme 2025 two kinds of bikes can be availed by students Electric Bikes (E-Bikes) and Petrol Bikes. The government has also created adequate strategy to distribute these bikes between male and female students across the cities.

Quota Policy:
Petrol Bikes:
- 50% quota for male and 50% for female students at divisional level

- But only for students studying in 5 selected cities

Scheme Phases, Deadlines & What’s Next in Punjab E Bike Scheme 2025
Phase 1 – Completed
- Last Date of Application: 10 th June 2025
- Government is screening through any requests
- In case there will be a higher demand than the supply, e-balloting will be employed.
- Approval of use should result in bike delivery within 4560 days
Phase 2 – Coming Soon
- Launching date: July 2025
- Students who have missed Phase 1 are able to apply
- Process of application is same as Phase 1
- Approval of bikes will take place in 45-60 days after which they will be delivered

Why the Previous Teachers’ E-Bike Scheme Was Cancelled?
In February 2024, the state government of Punjab declared electric bikes on 15,000 teachers. However, this planning was subsequently scrapped out because of:
- Problems in battery theft
- Low electric bikes mileage
Instead the government is looking at using petrol bikes, which are now being considered as alternative to the teachers. No decision has been concrete yet.
